Eduard 1/144 Eduard MiG-15 Photoetch
By Matt Bittner
When it was known that Eduard was releasing a 1/144 MiG-15 the small-scale world was quite excited, and for good reason. These are excellent kits that build into very nice representation of the early-fifties fighter. Out-of-the-box it's a great kit, but like everything in the modeling world anything can be enhanced. For their own kit Eduard has released photoetch for the 1/144 series of MiG-15s (#144 007).
For the cockpit Eduard provides a new instrument panel, sidewalls and seat belts. For the exterior of the model there are replacement wing fences and landing gear doors that are better served – more "to-scale" – than their plastic equivalents. Finally Eduard gives you two antenna for the top of the fuselage spine.

The only other thing you might want to do is either create your own "squash-cast" replacement canopy, or pick up the one from Brengun. With all the detail that is now in the cockpit you really should show it all off.
Now that Eduard has announced a 1/72 MiG-15UTI I'm hoping they'll follow up with one in 1/144.
"Thank you" Eduard for sending this with their MiG-15 kits.
