Eduard 1/72 Brassin Fokker Dr.I Engine
By Matt Bittner
The Eduard 1/72 Fokker Dr.I has been released a number of times through the years. The latest release is another Weekend Edition version of the kit meaning no masks nor photoetch. This time, Eduard has created a Brassin resin engine (#672 139) to replace the one in the kit, which I consider too small. You can see in the accompanied photo the difference between the resin and injected plastic one.

The engine comes in three pieces of resin (the main engine and two other pieces for the front of the engine) along with a photoetch fret for the wiring. I would assemble the pieces and then paint and weather.

If you have any 1/72 Fokker Dr.I, but especially the Eduard one, this engine will go a long ways to improve the model's appearance. My thanks to Eduard for sending the Brassin engine to review.
