These latest two issues of 'Australia's OWN Plastic, Scale & Diecast Modelling Magazine' arrived last month and there is something interesting for just about everyone in these. ModelArt Australia is a fairly new magazine and they're breaking into the scene with some excellent content. In Issue No. 9 there are articles on building Academy's M3 Stuart, Eduard's Bf 108, Kangam's big 1/35 AH-64D Apache, an interesting continuation on a series of 1/32 double-decker buses of Sydney, and a great article on general purpose thinners. Issue No. 10 features a nice piece on a 90mm Condottieri figure mounted on horseback, the second part on detailing an Auto Union race car, a piece on building Artesania's San Fransisco, a Piper Cavalier Mustang in 1/48, and a piece on building a Ford F30 of the LRDG. In addition to these great build articles, each issue also includes new release notices, book and product reviews, and the other usual columns one finds in magazines. The magazines themselves are printed on glossy quality paper and the photo quality is excellent. If you are looking for a good magazine to add to your subscription list, this is one worth checking out.
My thanks to Sandle Hobbies for sending me these two samples. Check their website out if you are interested in obtaining issues of ModelArt Australia.
