The hulking ISU-122/152 made its combat debut early 1944 and became the prime predator of Tiger and Panther tanks and, alongside the T-34/85, spearheaded the advance into Berlin. These self-propelled guns continued in Warsaw Pact service and saw Egyptian service in the 1950s-60s
Wydawnictwo's volume is timed perfectly for the recent Tamiya kit. Apart from the usual presentation of period photos, scale drawings, and color photos of surviving machines, the real treat here is 24 color plates showing a variety of unique, field-applied camouflage worn by the machines, along with the requisite patriotic slogans and tactical symbols. These will provide the modeler with an exciting alternative to the usual "Russian green" scheme worn on most Soviet vehicles.
All in all, another handy title from this prolific publisher and worth picking up, especially if you're modeling this beast from Tamiya.
