I was wandering through my favorite local hobby establishment recently and spied this book on the shelf. Much to my surprise, the author is none other than our own Richard Marmo who pens our Scaleworld column each month. What caught my attention, however, was the subject - this is solid primer on working with resin detail parts as well as full resin kits in all scales. Much like Richard's columns, he walks the reader through several projects and deals with issues ranging from subject research to essential tools and techniques. While this book is aimed at the modeler who is looking to improve his/her skills, there is a wealth of information here for all modelers. Chapter 4 is a perfect example to help modelers deal with converting dimensions or drawings in one scale into the scale that they wish to apply the information.
