RetroWings 1/144 Me-262 Conversions

RetrokiT is super when it comes to providing aftermarket for 1/144 kits. This time around they move their attention to the Eduard 1/144 Me-262 series of kits.
| RW44112 Me-262 C-1a Conversion consists of two pieces of resin; a replacement tail (in which you cut off a rear-most section of the kit) and a separate rudder. |

| RW44113 Me-262 A-1a/Ur Conversion consists of 6 pieces of resin, which is mainly a new nose and everything associated with it (nose landing gear, etc.). This conversion also requires kit surgery by cutting off the forward-most section of the nose and adding the resin replacement. |

| RW44114 Me-262 Cockpit Detail Set is for the single-seat jet and is just a replacement for the kit cockpit adding much more detail. |

| RW44115 Me-262 A-1a/U3 Conversion consists of the camera nose blisters for both the small and large blisters, depending on the version being modeled. What isn’t included is the single Mk 108 gun barrel to be used with the A-1a/U3 small blisters. |

| RW44116 Me-262 Lorin Conversion consists of two main ramjet engines, two exhaust nozzles and handed pylons that fit onto the kit’s jet engine nacelles and wings. |

| RW44117 Me-262 Cockpit Detail Set is meant for the two-seat Me-262 kits that while are direct replacements for the kit parts still require a little bit of kit surgery by enlarging the cockpit opening. In addition RetrokiT provides a resin FuG 16ZY radio that was fitted to some two-seat Me-262s by sitting on the flat area between the two crew stations. It’s definitely best to find references to see if the plane you’re modeling has this radio. |

These are all great conversion pieces but my one and only complaint with RetrokiT’s conversions remains the same: the instructions are way too small and do not provide enough detail. For example, there is no indication on the provided instructions just how the pylons and Lorin ramjet engines are to fit on the kit. Definitely have on hand plenty of references before tackling these conversions.
