Modell-Hobby 1/72 Airfix Harrier GR-9A Instrument Panel

Now that Modell-Hobby has covered the FRS 1 and FA 2 Sea Harriers, they complete the trio with an instrument panel for the Airfix 1/72 Harrier GR-9A.

Unlike most of the prop instrument panels, the jet ones have a little more too them. After painting the photoetch pieces gray, you then glue

the clear film to the back of each photoetch piece (three of them) and then paint the backs of them white. Once all that is done and dried, then you glue the assembled instrument panel pieces - as well as a smaller, separate piece - to the kit's plastic instrument panel.

Also included on the instructions is a color drawing showing not only the gray front piece, but a number of other colors on the instrument panel as well, such as red, green, etc. Just enough to make the instrument panel stand out.
