WestJet operates a growing fleet of 737s, with the latest being 737-800s borrowed from Delta. This decal sheet, also available in 1/144 and 1/100 scales, covers the earlier 737-200s flown by the airline. Four registration codes are provided, these being C-FKWJ, C-GWWJ, C-FGWJ and C-GWJT. For each of these planes you get fuselage and wing reg codes as well as fleet numbers for the wheel doors and tail tip. The actual livery decals include the complete tail and the fuselage logo, both in turquoise and blue. Other small details include engine warning stripes, door outlines, anti-glare panel, windscreen & eyelet windows, and the Canadian flags with ‘Proudly’ written above. The only thing that is missing is the fuselage windows, an interesting omission considering that the windscreen is there.
These decals are ALPS-printed and come on a solid sheet of clear film, so you’ll need to trim them out carefully. They’re also very thin and somewhat fragile, a fact outlined in the instruction sheet, so you’ll want to take care in handling these, both before and during application. Once they’re on and under a good clear coat they should be as durable as any other decal.
My thanks to JBOT Decals for the review sample and these can be ordered from hiswebsite.
