Eduard A6M2-N Rufe Brassin Enhancements
By Jacob Russell
Here are 3 new Brassin aftermarket sets for Eduard's A6M2-N Rufe kit. Let's take a look at them:
648845 A6M2-N Rufe seat
This a 3D printed seat and a set of photo-etch pre-painted seatbelts. The detail of the resin seat is superb and the PE belts are up to Eduard's customary high standards.
648849 A6M2-N Rufe gun bays
This set is a pair of gun bays for the wings. It consists of 32 parts. 16 of these are 3-D printed resin and 16 are photo-etch on a single brass fret. Once again the detail of the resin parts is stunning. The wings were engineered to provide for the installation of these bays. You will have to open the gun bay scribed into each upper wing, assemble each gun bay with the ammunition drums and guns, and then drop the bay into the wing halves and glue them together. This is a straightforward process, well illustrated in Eduard's great instructions.
648451 A6M2-N Rufe landing flaps
Another tour de force of 3-D printing consisting of 6 pieces of resin plus a very small PE fret containing another 6 parts. The finished product will be stunning and a careful oil wash and drybrushing of the raised detail will pay dividends.
Eduard's A6M2-N Rufe is an accurate and well detailed kit right out of the box. These 3 Brassin sets raise the level of that detail to an amazing extent, giving you all of the elements of a contest winning diorama entry. I recommend these Brassin sets and I would like to thank Eduard for the review samples.
