Eduard 1/48 FW190F-8 Brassin Cockpit
By Jacob Russell
This cockpit is for Eduard's 1/48th scale Focke-Wulf FW190F-8 kit. It consists of 52 parts, 23 of which are resin. 28 parts are photo-etch on a single fret plus you get a small sheet of acetate gunsight faces and a decal sheet of instrument panel faces. The resin parts include the cockpit tub, gunsight, seat, rudder pedals, instrument panel and coaming, etc.. Some additional items include the bomb release control panel, rudder pedals and 2 different styles of canopy armor. The detail of these parts has to be seen to be appreciated, because it's spectacular.
The PE fret has a mix of pre-painted and plain parts. It includes 2 alternative instrument panels. The fret also includes the seat harness, canopy retraction handle, rudder pedal straps, cockpit storage hatch, throttle levers, headrest armor, etc. Take your time with the assembly and painting of this cockpit and I guarantee that you will be happy with the finished product.
Conclusion
This is another great cockpit set. Eduard's Focke-Wulf FW190F-8 has an excellent cockpit right out of the box but the Brassin set takes the detail to another dimension. I recommend this Brassin cockpit and I would like to thank Eduard for the review sample.
