Caracal Models 1/72 F-102A (Case X) Decals
I knew it wouldn't take long from when Meng released their new-tool 1/72 F-102A until decals and other aftermarket started to appear for it. The first, I believe, is this set of decals from Caracal Models, covering six different F-102A (Case X) aircraft:
- F-102A 56-1188, 111 FIS, Texas ANG
- F-102A 54-1373, 199 FIS, Hawaii ANG
- F-102A 55-3432, 178 FIS, North Dakota ANG
- F-102A 56-1263, Idaho ANG This Idaho ANG, SEA camouflage
- F-102A 56-1113, 509 FIS, Vietnam, SEA camouflage
- F-102A 55-3392, Turkish Air Force
Aside from the two SEA camouflaged aircraft, the other four were finished overall in ADC Gray. Since the decals are printed by Cartograf, you can be assured of their high quality, and these decals are really nicely printed and appear to be in register.
This decal set comes with only one set of common markings, so if you want to build more than one model from this set, you'll need to source your own common markings.
All in all this is an excellent, speedy release and if you don't want to build any of the aircraft catered for by Meng, then by all means pick up this sheet.
