Brengun 1/144 Eduard Me 262A Canopy

By Matt Bittner

One scale that definitely needs vacuformed canopy replacements is 1/144. The injected-molded process just can't create canopies that are thin enough for the scale. In the worst case they're woefully thick and distorted - in the best case, while clear enough, they're not truly thin enough to be displayed open.

Thankfully Brengun is one company doing something about it. This release is for the Eduard 1/144 Me 262A and while there are two canopies contained in the package, they're not exactly the same thing. Brengun provides the modeler with one canopy that's already closed, and the other separated enough that you can display the canopy open. Sure, if you mess one up you can use the other as a replacement, but to have one canopy that is easier to cut out for openeing is very thoughtful.

My thanks to Brengun for sending the review set. aftermarket_brl144064-3.jpg
