Griffon Models 1/35 Stryker

With the recent release by both AFV Club and Trumpeter of the much anticipated US Army M1126 Stryker, and its subsequent variants, it comes as no surprise that aftermarket companies would soon follow suit with photoetched sets. And Griffon Model has done just that. Setting the bar high, Griffon produced a set with six, detail packed frets, PLUS a turned brass Mk 19 grenade launcher barrel. Also included are lengths of wire and styrene rod to add even more detail. The brass frets are very clean and clear, with a few pieces featuring relief details and depth. Details range from full PE ammunition cans, to tool boxes, to just about every strap and tie down possible. The set even includes PE for both the Mk 19 and the M2 .50 machine gun.
CONCLUSION
The Griffon Model's Stryker set is an excellent addition to any of the 1/35 Stryker models. This set is not for the beginner though. The detailed instructions are found on three, full, front and back pages. And while clear on what goes where and how, the set is still recommended for advanced modelers. I look forward to adorning my Stryker with one great looking PE set. I would like to thank Winston, at Wings-n-Treads for giving me the opportunity to evaluate this set.
