Eduard 1/35 Kitchen Accessories
By Rob Folden
Just about every modeler has worked with Eduard photo-etched parts at some point in time. So there is no question as to the high quality of Eduard sets. When Eduard released their first color PE sets, the PE bar was raised even higher. Now, with Eduard’s latest releases of plants and other accessories that are color printed on both sides, the bar has been raised again. One of these recent releases is the Kitchen accessories. And let me say, when I first received this set for review, I was stunned by the detail. The set comes in a single sheet that includes everything from silverware to plates and all of the classic kitchen details. Many of the parts are double printed on both sides, and items such as knives and the breadboard are folded to increase the thickness. I was especially amazed in the detail of the Blue Willow pattern on the plates and serving trays as well as the detail of the Cuckoo clock. The plate detail is accurate, and the clock is made from several pieces and has various levels of detail. Also of note are details such as eggs frying in the pan, soufflés, and 3 different graters. This is an amazing set, and it lends itself to so many diorama possibilities. My sincere thanks to the folks at Eduard for sending us a review sample.
