A new flavor of flying.
Meet Vanilla Air, Japan's latest economy airliner. Founded in November 2013, Vanilla Air is a new subsidiary of All Nippon Airways (ANA®) dedicated to low-cost passenger flights. Current destinations include Tokyo, Okinawa, Seoul and Hong Kong. Of course, these flights wouldn't be possible without a fleet of Airbus A320s. Vanilla Air has nine A320-200s, which can carry up to 180 passengers per flight.

1/72 F-15J Eagle "203rd Sq. 50th Anniversary"
Advanced air superiority.
The F-15J Eagle is a Mitsubishi-licensed variant built especially for the JASDF. An estimated 140 have been produced, and many are flown by the JASDF's 2nd Air Wing, 203rd Squadron. The 203rd celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2014, and this special 1/72 scale kit commemorates this historic occasion. Coincidentally enough, F-15 production is scheduled to end in 2019, nearly fifty years after the aircraft's debut.

1/72 A-10C Thunderbolt II "184FS Flying Razorbacks"
The tough, tenacious "Warthog."
Based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the 184th Fighter Squadron has been an important part of the Arkansas Air National Guard's 188th Fighter Wing since 1992. The squadron transitioned to the A-10C Thunderbolt II in 2007, providing support for ground troops stationed in Afghanistan. The A-10 also proved useful to the 184th FS as a patrol aircraft and an aerial recon craft. Soon, it may be replaced by the F-35 Lightning II.

1/72 A6M2-N & N1K1 Kyofu "934th FG" Combo
The IJN's impressive interceptors.
Following 1942's Battle of Ambon, Japan captured Ambon Island from the Allies. The IJN then used this Indonesian island as a base for launching air raids and intercepting Allied aircraft. Floatplanes like the Nakajima A6M2-N and Kawanishi N1K1 proved to be important assets. Of the two, however, the N1K1's wing-mounted 20 mm cannons were a more ideal match for Allied aircraft.

1/48 Mitsubishi® F1M2 Type Zero Obs. Seaplane
Revered for remarkable recon.
Throughout WWII, the IJN used seaplane tenders – early aircraft carriers – to discreetly dispatch airplanes for longrange recon missions. The float-equipped, highly-favored F1M2 was frequently sent out from IJN tenders, because of its incredible versatility. Its many uses included maritime patrol, convoy escort, anti-submarine aircraft and bomber. In all, 1,118 F1M floatplanes were built between 1936 and 1944.
