The Nakajima Ki-44-II was powered by a 1,440hp (1,074 kW) Ha-109 engine, which could deliver top speeds of 378 mph (604 km/h). One of the most celebrated Sentais that flew the Ki-44-II was the 246th Air Regiment, which took full advantage of its spectacular speeds and awesome firepower.

Throughout WWII, the IJN used seaplane tenders to discreetly dispatch airplanes for long-range recon missions. The float-equipped, highly-favored F1M2 was frequently sent out from IJN tenders, because of its incredible versatility. 1/72 Tornado GR4 “No. 12 Squadron Farewell Special”
Variable sweep versatility
Introduced in the early seventies, the Tornado GR4 was designed to deliver the best balance of carrying capacity, range, and performance using variable-geometry wings. The aircraft could fly long distances to targets using wide-swept wings then roar in with wings in the delta configuration. After the Gulf War, the British fleet of Tornado aircraft was upgraded to the GR4 standard to improve the delivery of precision-guided munitions. This new variant of the aircraft was used in the War in Iraq.
