This month's aviation history selections take us from the waters around Great Britain in the late 1920's to the skies over the eastern Mediterranean in the early 1960's. The first article covers the development and flights of the Supermarine S.6B, a thoroughbred trophy winner that gave birth to the superlative Spitfire. The second article is about a popular airplane in an unusual guise: the F-86D in camouflage. These articles are by no means the last word on these subjects; rather they are to provide some basic facts, and maybe some inspiration to find out more about them. I am always ready to learn more, so if anyone has any additional information, or even corrections, please feel free to contact me.
