My love of the Swedish Air Force has me listing this one first. It is a good example of the squadron markings on the later FB Vampires in Swedish service. Still camouflaged in dark green over light blue-gray, this Vampire from F18 has a nice bright blue tail letter to offset the drab colors.

Flygplansritningar 2, Björn Karlström 1985 pp 93.

This is a clean example of the Vampire FB.5. This is a French bird, who called it the Mistral. This one is odd in that it still has the British serial number of WR195. The French flew many Vampires, including one that Madame Auriol broke the women's world air speed record in May 1951.

The final entry is a beautiful plane from a not-so-well known country. This is a Vampire FB.5 of the Venezuelan Air Force. I know very little about this plane. All of the markings seen here were taken off of an ESCI decal sheet. If anyone has any information on Vampires in Venezuela, I would love to hear from you.

Well, that's it for this month. I hope you enjoyed the selections. I'm not sure what I'll have ready for next month. Your input will really help me decide. Currently, I am working on Hungarian Fiat CR.42s, Curtiss C-46 Commandos, de Havilland Venoms, Mosquitoes, European F-104s, and W.W.II Far East Fighters. Some are further along than others, but if there is one that really catches your eye, let me know. Also, if there is something you would like to see that I don't have listed, let me know and I can look into that as well.
Check out the Hungarian Ju88C-6...
