Eduard 1/72 Brassin Bf 110E Nose Guns
By Matt Bittner
There were three Brassin releases from Eduard when they released their 1/72 Bf 110E. One set already review were replacement tires. This set is for the nose area, to display the four guns in an open compartment. The best part of this set is there is no kit surgery to perform. The built-up resin nose just glues onto the kit nose, instead of the closed-nose that comes with the kit. This set not only containes the four guns that were in the nose of a Bf 110E, but also the area the guns sat in is extremely well detailed. Plus, you receive the bottom of the actual nose, along with belt-feeders, photoetch belts, and the top of the nose that is to be left off to the side.
Another included item is what appears to be a light for the very tip of the nose. If the machine you're building was equiped with one, the instructions show where to drill the hole in the nose, and where to actually glue the light to.Since there isn't any kit surgery to perform, the majority of the time will be spent painting. The right amount of washes and dry-brushes will really make all the molded-in detail really come through and look excellent.
Many thanks to Eduard for sending this to review.
