Draw Decal 1/144 Copa Airlines 737-700

By Chris Banyai-Riepl

The 737-700 seems to be somewhat popular with Draw Decal recently, with this sheet following quickly on the heels of their Aloha sheet. This time we go down south a little bit, to Panama and Copa Airlines. This is an attractive livery that is similar to the current Continental livery, which would make for an interesting pair, since both fly the 737-700. Since there is no kit for the 737-700, you will have to cut down a Revell 737-800, and instructions on this are on the Draw Decal website.

This decal sheet includes everything you will need to finish any one of the Copa 737-700s, including winglet decals that appear to be sized for the Braz winglets. The tail decal is large but should pose no problems in going down on the Revell kit. Extra blue and gold-yellow swatches are included for filling any necessary areas. The fuselage cheatline is split into two pieces, allowing for slight size variations in cutting down the fuselage. Extra numbers are provided for the registration code and wheel door numbers. A complete set of window decals is also included, as are overwing exit decals. On my sample the overwing exits are for the two-exit 737-800, but a conversation with Draw Decal confirms that this is corrected on the current sheet.

This is another great sheet from Draw Decal and will be a welcome addition to any 737 collection.
