EDUARD T-55 Detail Set

Yes, its here! The set we've all been waiting for to fit the new Tamiya T-55.

So what's in it? All the tool clips and brackets, of course, and the expected screens for the engine deck. Working from the front to the back, the glacis gets tow cable retainers and a new splash-board plus formation light brackets, and there are covers for the driver's periscopes plus glazing for them. On the forward trackguards are spare track retainers and several brackets, and there are reinforcing ribs to go under them. The gas and oil tanks get replacement lifting handles, and thereís mesh for the gas pipesí entry at the side of the engine deck as well as for its vent screens. Speaking of which, Eduard provides new covers for the vents as well! For the hull rear there are fuel drum and unditching log hoops, the flexible parts of the mudguards, and a proper rack for the aft toolbox. As already mentioned, all the tools get stowage clips, replacement shovel blades are provided, and of course there latches etc for the stowage bins.

Turning to the turret, you'll find parts to add the seams to the gun dust-cover, film to glaze either version of the gunnerís sight aperture and rims to go over them, interior and exterior hatch details, glazing and frames for the periscopes (all except the loader's periscope, which is moulded solid so doesn't get glazed and framed), mounts and straps for all the MG ammo boxes, straps for all the tie-down points, an upgrade for the MG itself and turret-rear mounts for it too.

As well as all the glazing, Eduard provides masks to aid painting the periscopes (including the gunner's) and gunsight apertures. This set will be a tremendous aid in detailing the Tamiya model. Highly recommended!
