Gecko Graphics race car decals | | Straight from Merrye Olde Englande comes this eclectic assortment of three European rally cars and an NHRA top fuel dragster. All, however, are tied together by a common bond, that being that each car represented was driven or co-driven by a member of the fairer sex. All four sheets are sharply-printed, in good register, with excellent color saturation; I don't think there will be any problem with the whites covering underlying colors. Full placement diagrams are provided, along with instructions for modification or correction of the base kits as needed. Markings provided are very complete down to the smallest item, with extra bonus decals featured on some sheets. The only nit I have to pick is that main color recommendations are limited to "match the decal color" but this is understandable given that not all brands of paint are available in any given locale. First off is the number 17 Castrol Toyota Corolla driven by Thomas Rådström and Tina Thörner to fourth place in the 2000 Swedish Rally. The sheet was designed for Tamiya kit #24209. Next is the number 119 Pinnacle Insurance/Ford Racing Ford Focus WRC driven by Penny Mallory to the Ladies' title at the 2000 Network Q Rally of Great Britain. Full alternate markings and decal placement instructions are also included for the car as #40 in the 2000 Bulldog Rally. This sheet was designed for use with Tamiya kit #24217. Third is the number 75 Blue Peter Mitsubishi Lancer EvoV driven by Ben Briant and Konnie Huq to 37th position in the 2001 Swedish Rally. Instructions are provided on how to combine the Tamiya rally car (#24203) with its street stock companion kit to make a completely accurate, but expensive, model. Last is Cristen Powell's #18 Reebok/Royal Purple top fuel dragster with which she reached the semifinals of the 1997 Winston Finals in Pomona, California. Instructions include a pattern for the side panels missing in some kits. For use with Revell 0536, 7650, 7651, 7658, or 7659. |
