Armo 1/72 T-34/85 Decals Part 2

By Chris Banyai-Riepl

Overview

A follow-on to their first sheet (reviewed last month), this sheet continues the saga of the T-34/85 with another long list of decal options. A mere fifteen different tanks are represented here, more than enough to keep you busy for quite some time, should you choose to build them all. Below is a list of all the options.

T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 4th Armored Brigade, 1st Armored Corps, Germany, April 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 95th Armored Brigade, 9th Tank Corps, April 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 2nd Armored Brigade, 1st Armored Corps, Germany, April 1945.
T-34/85 with model 1943 turret, 28th Independent Tank Regiment, March 1944.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 2nd Motorcycle Battalion, 1st Armored Corps, Czechoslovakia, May 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 51st Tank Regiment, East Prussia, Winter 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 4th Armored Brigade, 1st Armored Corps, Germany, April 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 3rd Armored Brigade, 1st Armored Corps, Germany, April 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘angle-jointed’ turret, 164th Tank Brigade, 16th Tank Corps, Warka-Magnuszew, Summer 1944.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, unit unknown, Autumn 1944.
T-34/85 with ‘angle-jointed’ turret, 25th Guard Tank Brigade, 2nd Guard Tank Corps, East Prussia, October 1944.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 2nd Battalion, 1st “Bohaterow Westerplatte” Armored Brigade, Warsaw, November 1944
T-34/85 with ‘angle-jointed’ turret, 26th Guard Tank Brigade, 2nd Guard Tank Corps, East Prussia, October 1944.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret and improvised anti-Panzerfaust armor, 36th Tank Brigade, 11th Tank Corps, Berlin, April 30, 1945.
T-34/85 with ‘flattened’ turret, 5th Guard Tank Regiment, 1st Byelorussian Front., 1945.

All of these options provide something different and any one will make for an interesting model. Coupled with the first part, there are plenty of great options for your T-34/85 model, and if you have a hankering to build a collection, you could do no wrong with building both of these sheets in their entirety. Perhaps someone will give you a bulk discount on the 30+ kits you would need….

My thanks to Jadar Model and Roll Models for the review sample.
