The RAF's contribution to the recent war in Iraq is documented in this volume by Andy Evans with art by Jon Freeman. With the official end of hostilities only a matter of months past, this book is a very timely one for those who wish to find out about the RAF role in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

There is a good overview of the operations flown by the different types of aircraft used by the RAF, with numerous colour profiles showing these aircraft as well as any nose art carried. For those who wish to build models of any of these aircraft, there is a colour chart with British standard BS381C numbers saying how the colours were worn and FS595b matches where applicable. Additionally On Target Decals/Model Alliance offer 1/48 and 1/72 scale sheets covering 40 of the aircraft featured in this book. Full details are included in the back.

A most interesting volume, and I look forward to future works from this team.

Thanks to Jon Freeman of the Aviation Workshop Publications Ltd for the review sample.
