Trakz Armor Products

By Michael Benolkin

‘Trakz’ is one of the newer product lines that has come from the creative minds of VLS. They’ve produced a wide range of 1/35 resin and photo-etched detail accessories for a variety of armor subjects, and have just started with vinyl stencil masks. In this increment, Trakz has produced an interesting set of windshield wiper masks. What are these for, you ask?

Have you noticed that many of the nicer weathered softskin vehicles will sometimes still have perfectly clear windshields? Unless you live somewhere near Perfect, most windshields start to accumulate dust, dirt and bugs within 10 minutes after cleaning - and that is just city driving. Imagine the weathering on glass out under combat conditions. These masks will allow you to mask off where the windshield wipers would travel and allow you to weather the remaining glass at the same time you are weathering the rest of the vehicle. Not bad, eh?
