Last year, Academy released four tank kits in 1/48 scale to address the growing re-interest in motorized models in that region of the world. These kits featured simple construction with some nice molded-on detailing that could serve and the basis of a nice scale model in the right hands and yet be simply fun for everyone else. These kits had nicely designed two-motor transmissions that were controllable from a tethered hand controller. The only downside was that all four tanks, the Israeli Merkava, Russian T-72, German Leopard 2 and British Challenger used the same rubberband track pattern that was only 'accurate' with the Leopard.
Academy has re-released these four tanks, sans the motorization, to serve as the basis of a nice static model. These compliment the variety of other 1/48 armor released by Zhengdefu.
