The final issue of the last millenium of the APMA Quarterly journal
recently arrived in my mailbox, so we shall take a look at it. Starting
with this issue, they've switched to laser printing which has shown an
improvement in the magazine image quality. Each issue consists of excellent
research material for that kit you may have stashed away for a rainy day
as the supplied markings were too ordinary. APMA specializes in new schemes
for familiar, and not so familiar type. these are provided in both descriptions,
and in cross-hatched profile drawings.
The current issue features the following:
-
Heinkel He70: History and profiles
-
Merlin Engined Seafires Pt.2: Squadron use, profiles, kits roundup
-
The Philippines - Round One: US aircraft in the early days of the
Pacific war
-
Air America (Again): the CIA in SE Asia
-
The Woomera: History and plans of this Australian bomber
-
Dispirited Ryan: Backdating the Spirit of St Louis
