Eduard 72-273 1/72 Su-25 Detail Set
for the Italeri kit
$14.99
If you are looking to add something to the Italeri Frogfoot, this detail set is what you need. The cockpit treatment consists of a complete seat treatment that fits around the kit piece, providing seat cushions, sides, headrest, and seat belts. The cockpit is completely replaced by a brass tub, with all the usual details and a nice instrument panel with film instruments. A HUD is also included. The rest of the details trick out the landing gear with actuator arms, adds vents to underneath the nose, replaces blade aerials all around, and provides new fins for the drop tanks and end pieces for the rocket launchers. Be prepared for a lot of bending of small parts with this set.
Eduard 72-275 1/72 Beaufighter Mk. VI Detail Set for the Hasegawa kit
$14.99
The decal interior of the Hasegawa Beaufighter really needs something to spruce it up, and this set is it. The usual Eduard interior treatment is provided, with cockpit sidewall detail provided, including the area behind the pilot. A complete cockpit tub is provided, along with everything that goes on it.
Throttle quadrants, trim wheels, and various boxes are all there. The instrument panel is made up of four pieces, not including the plastic ones, and will look very realistic when painted. The seats are detailed up with seatbelts, while the rest of the parts finish out the exterior. Nose and wing aerials are provided, as are fins for the rockets and control surface actuators. This is a thorough set and goes a long way to adding the detail that Hasegawa left out of their Beaufighter kit.
Eduard 48-253 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf110D Detail Set for the Fujimi kit
$19.99
The Fujimi kit has been around for some time, and it's fairly accurate. All that's needed is a bit of detail work to turn it into a show stopper, and this detail set will do that. A complete cockpit is provided, buildingon the plastic kit piece. Sidewall details, seatbelts, instrument panel, rudder pedals, and throttle quadrants are just some of the details included for the inside. Moving to the outside, the set provides a ring sight for the tail gun, interior wheel door detail, wing radiators, and gear strut oleos. Inside the wheel wells, there is the well floor, strut actuators, and vertical supports. The usual aerial treatment is provided, including the DF loop and 'towel rack' antennas underneath the rear fuselage. Fins for both bombs and the drop tanks are also provided, finishing out this excellent set. This set goes a long way to detailing out the Fujimi kit.
Eduard 48-255 1/48 Il-2 Single Seater
Detail Set for the Accurate Miniatures kit
$19.99
The Accurate Miniatures Il-2 kit has everything the real plane had in it, and is one of the best detailed kits available today. However, injection molded plastic can only do so much with details, and can't get very thin. That's where etched brass comes in. This set doesn't add much detail, but it replaces a great detail with pieces that are much more to scale in thickness. Seat belts, instrument panels, and rudder pedals help detail the interior, along with some other small fiddly bits. Most of the pieces are for the exterior, though. The wheel wells are given a very thorough treatment and will add greatly to the look of the kit. The undercarriage doors are replaced with brass ones, resulting in very thin, realistic-looking doors. All of the actuating struts for the doors are provided, as are details on the struts themselves. One detail provided in this kit is a complete bomb bay, which is a nice addition. If you're building a ski-equipped Il-2, the set also includes details to finish those out nicely, too. All in all, it is a set that will add some subtle differences to your Il-2 and make it stand out from the rest.
