Print Scale 1/72 McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II Decals
By Matt Bittner
Since the F-4 was produced in large numbers, you can be sure there are a lot of schemes out there that have yet to see the light of day in decal-form. Thankfully Print Scale has put together a few of these, mainly for United States (US) Navy and the US Marines, with an RAF bird thrown in for good measure.
- F-4S, BuNo 158360, 122, assigned to LT Rich Bryant "Mink" and LCDR Herzong White, VX-30 Bloodhounds (finished in Dark Ghost Gray over light gray)
- QF-4N, BuNo 153030, 145, assigned to LCDR LC "Shantini" Shanle and LT Brad "Nacho" Botkin, VX-30 Bloodhounds (finished in Dark Ghost Gray over light gray, with red wing and stab tips and fin/rudder)
- F-4J, ZE361, P, assigned to Flit Lt Allchorned and Flt Lt Walsh of No. 74 Squadron, RAF (finished in three different grays with a black fin/rudder)
- F-4J, BuNo 153778, AA 202, of VMFA-451 Warlords, Bicentennial Scheme 1976
The decals look top-notch and appear to be in register. These are some very unique Phantoms so if one of these schemes strikes your fancy, then by all means pick them up.
Many thanks to Print Scale for sending these in for review.
