Model Alliance Decals 1/72 WWII - 2TAF

Model Alliance Decals continues their excellent WWII decal collection with this set for the 2nd Tactical Air Force (2TAF) during WWII, 1944-1945. Since the decals are printed by The Fantasy Printshop all decals are perfectly printed with excellent color and coverage.

- North American Mitchell Mk.II, FW130, 'MQ.A' of 226 Squadron, RAF, Hartfordbridge Flats, June 1944, finished in OD over Neutral Gray
- North American Mustang Mk.III, FZ114, 'MT.A' of 122 Squadron, RAF, B.y, Martragny, France, June 1944 finished in Ocean Grey/Dark Green over Medium Sea Grey with a yellow spinner
- Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc, MJ584, 'LO.F' of 602 Squadron, RAF, B.11, Longues, France, July 1944 finished in Dark Green and Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey
- Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib, JP671, 'XP.R' of 174 Squadron, RAF, B.5, Le Fresne-Camilly, France, July 1944 with Ocean Grey and Dark Green uppers with Medium Sea Grey on the undersides
- Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib, MN526, 'TP.V' of 198 Squadron, RAF, B.10, Plumetot, France, July 1944 that had Ocean Grey/Dark Green on the top and Medium Sea Grey on the bottom
- Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc, MJ584, 'LO.F' of 602 Squadron, RAF, B.11, Longues, France, July 1944 finished in the standard Dark Green/Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey with a Sky spinner
- de Havilland Mosquito NF.Mk.XXX, MM788, 'RA.Q' of 410 Squadron, RAF, B.48, Amiens/Glisy, France, September 1944 finished with the tops and bottoms in Medium Sea Grey with Dark Green also on the upper surface; this one will have to be a conversion in 1/72 using the Tamiya kit with the Pavla 72/73 engines
- Hawker Tempest Mk.V, EJ706, 'RPB' flown by Wing Commander Roland Beamont of 150 Wing, RAF, B.80, Grimbergen, Holland, September 1944 that had uppers in Ocean Grey and Dark Green with the undersides finished in Medium Sea Grey
- Douglas Boston Mk.IV, BX208, 'OA.G', of 342 'Lorraine' Squadron, RAF, B.50, Vitry-en-Artois, France, October 1944 finished in OD and Neutral Grey with the roundels and fin-flash in French colors
- Hawker Hurricane Mk.I, V7752, 'SF' of 137 Squadron, RAF, B.78, Eindhoven, Holland, October 1944 finished in Dark Green/Ocean Grey on top and Medium Sea Grey on the bottom
- Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc, MK940, '2-ZF-B' of 308 Squadron, RAF, RAF Ford, 1944 finished in Dark Green/Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey with a Sky spinner
- Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib, MB639, 'QC.S' of 168 Squadron, RAF, B.78, Eindhoven, Holland, late 1944 finished in Ocean Grey/Dark Green over Medium Sea Grey with a yellow spinner
Not only does the instructions include four-view profiles for each model, but there are also photos in the instructions, towards the center. Most of these aircraft flew with either bombs or rockets, so again, pay attention to the instructions and your references.
