So far Eduard has released a
USN Carrier Deck 1943-1944 Lift Area (#73416), a
1942-1944 Lift Area (#73418), an actual
deck section from 1942-1944 (#73421), a
Lift Area from 1944-1945 (#73419), and a regular Carrier Deck section from 1943-1944 (#73420). This time Eduard releases a Carrier Deck section from 1944-1945 (#73422).
As with the other Carrier Deck pieces put out from Eduard, I plan on mounting this to a piece of wood for easier handling, but for now it looks great under any model of that time-frame unmounted.
You can see in the extra photo that I have my
Hasegawa F4U-1D sitting on top of the Carrier Deck section. Could multiple sections be glued together to create a larger display? Probably. There were no actual instructions in the baggie, instead leaving it to the modeler's imagination on how to use these sections. I did try to put this together with the
Lift Area, but there is no logical way the two pieces can be brought together. At least none that I found.
