Eduard 1/72 MiG-15bis Brassin Airbrakes
By Matt Bittner
The same goes with the Eduard 1/72 MiG-15bis Airbrakes (#672 020) that go with the "standard" MiG-15 Airbrakes. First you need to cut-down the exhaust "can" and cut out the holes (and hinge areas) on the kit fuselage sides for the airbrakes themselves. Once that is accomplish then you fold the interior of the airbrakes from the photoetch provided, adding the photoetch "back".
There are small pieces of photoetch to add to the actuator arm then it and the actual airbrake is added to the cut-out area.
Although the 'bis' had a different engine, I don't think there was any difference between the airbrakes. Still, it makes sense to package them for each specific type, that way there is no guessing when ordering the parts.
Our thanks to Eduard for sending the review set.
