Eduard 1/72 M-2 Browning gun
By Jacob Russell
The Weapon
John Browning designed the Browning M-2 machine gun towards the end of World War One. It is an air cooled, belt-fed machine gun using the large powerful .50 BMG cartridge and it has been produced longer than any other machine gun. The United States has used the the M-2 as a vehicle weapon and as aircraft armament since the 1930s. The P-38, P-39, P-47, P-51, F6F Hellcat and F4U Corsair are among the US World War Two fighters equipped with the M-2. The Grumman TBF Avenger, B-25 Mitchell, B-26 Marauder and A-26 Invader are some World War Two US bombers that used the M-2.

The Brassin Set
The set consists of 18 resin pieces and a PE fret containing 30 tiny parts. These parts include gunsights and handles. The guns can be set up as either fixed or left and right manually operated guns. The guns and ancillary parts are exceptionally well molded and highly detailed. I predict “hours of fun” removing the PE parts from their fret and attaching them to the gun barrels.
This a great set, albeit with a very narrow, specific purpose. It's tailor made for modeling subjects like maintenance dioramas or aircraft models with open panel and access hatches. I recommend this set for the advanced modeler and I would like to thank Eduard for the review sample.
