Eduard 1/48 Bf109F-4 S.A.

This set (item number 49630) is for Zvezda's new Messerschmitt Bf109F-4 kit. It consists of 111 pieces on 2 frets, one of which is self-adhesive with most pieces pre-painted. There is also an acetate sheet included containing 5 gunsight lenses. The self-adhesive fret includes a new instrument panel, rudder pedals, seat harness, bomb control panel, throttle levers, oxygen regulator front and various sidewall controls.
The second fret is devoted to the overall airframe. It includes a strap for the cannon cover, new wing radiator flaps and screens, cockpit storage door cover, drop tank strap, etc. Additional items include brake lines, bomb fins, Tropical filter screen, supercharger intake screen, ignition wires...
Zvezda's new Bf109F kits are widely regarded as the most accurate 1/48th Friedrichs on the market. They (Bf109F-2 and F-4) are also well detailed but this new set from Eduard adds a higher level of finesse. I recommend this set and I would like to thank Eduard for the review sample.
