Brengun 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF/MFN Photoetch
By Matt Bittner
Brengun's first photoetch set - that was released at the same time as the Eduard 1/144 MiG-21MF/MFN kit was, during E-Day 2011 - was primarily for the exterior of the model containing such parts as a ladder, intake cover, etc. This set from Brengun (#144040) is meant for the model itself and contains items meant for dressing up the Eduard kit.
The phtoetch fret contains three different instrument panels (depending on if you're building a MiG-21MF 'early', MiG-21MF 'late', or a MiG-21MFN); different side consoles for the same reason; additions to the seats, which include seat belts; various antenna and pieces (again, dependent on the subtype being modeled); replacement fins for the missiles; replacement landing gear doors on the landing gear itself; replacement nose gear doors; an addition to the exhaust; and a new tip for the pitot. This is an excellent set to dress up the already very nice Eduard 1/144 MiG-21MF/MFN. Couple this with the previous set for the exterior, and you can have an awesome 1/144 MiG-21 display.
Thank you to Brengun for this set to review.
