Begemot 1/72 Tupolev SB Bomber Family Decals
By Matt Bittner
Still one of my pet peeves is people calling the Tupolev Light Bomber the SB-2. This is because when they see one of the designations of just one of the SBs as "SB-2M103" they're assuming the SB-2 is the aircraft's designation. Not true. "SB-2M103" is the designation of the SB with two (2) M103 engines. The aircraft itself is just known as the Tupolev SB.

Be that as it may, if you're looking for alternate markings for your 1/72 Tupolev SB - and the ICM kit is by far the best - then Begemot has you covered. There are 40 different aircraft you can build with just this single set of decals. Forty. That's a lot different aircraft to type out so I will just mention that not only are Russian examples covered (both the VVS as well as the VMF), but there are also examples that flew during the Spanish Civil War in Republican markings along with Chinese-flown SBs.
That means if any of the kit-supplied schemes don't strike your fancy, then I suspect one of the forty within this set will.
Plenty of "thank yous" are sent to Begemot for this review sample.
