- MiG-21 PFM, 4.5408, Maj. Miloslav Majer, 3rd flight of the 1st Fighter Air Force, 1968-69. The machine in the original color of metal was delivered to Czechoslovakia in June 1967, destroyed January 6, 1972 (the ignition of the aircraft after turning on the force during takeoff). The original emblem of the 3 squadron was applied only on the left side of the fuselage
- Mig-21 PFM, No. 5406, Lt. Col. Vaclav Kolouch, commander of the 1st Slikacii Air Regiment April 4, 1969. The machine was used on this day in a flight demonstration during the visit of the President of the Republic Gen. L. Svodody The award demonstrated, among other things, the status of auxiliary rocket engine assistance (SRPD). The machine was delivered to Czechoslovakia in July 1967 and dated March 19, 1991. The new emblem of the 3 squadron was placed on both sides of the pride aircraft
The decals are very nicely printed and appear to be in register. Both MiGs were left overall "natural". If you're looking for a pair of "early" Czech MiG-21s then by all means, pick up this set.
My thanks goes to APC Decals for supplying these review decals.
