This is the latest in MiniArt’s line of diorama kits. MiniArt has released several buildings and full diorama bases, and as always, the quality on this latest release is top notch. The kit consists of 2 vacuum formed sheets that contain the street and building walls. There are also 2 sprues of detail parts including doors, windows, and frames. Experience with vacuum formed kits is a plus, but not required. The parts go together pretty well, and once painted will make for a quick and easy diorama base that will accommodate figures and smaller vehicles such as Jeeps. You can also disregard the base, and use the building on a larger diorama base. At first glance, the molded in rubble looks a little odd, but after a quick shot of paint and some washes and highlights, it should look like a pile of crumbled bricks.
I’ve built a couple of these MiniArt buildings and diorama bases, and I highly recommend them. If you are like me, and really don’t have a knack for building dioramas and doing scenery, these bases are great to have for when you really want to do a diorama.
