Revell 1/25 2010 Camaro 2'N 1
By Chellie Lynn
Overview
This is the Special Edition Series, 2010 latest generation of the Chevy Camaro SS. Bigger, brawnier, and uglier than any Camaro that came before. Up against the new Mustang and Dodge Challenger, this is GM's answer to the 21st Century muscle car wars.
The Kit
Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed several parts that were short shots in the molding process. This produced instant concern as to the overall quality of this kit. Further inspection showed that only one of the incomplete parts was required for the stock build, so onward I went. Overall the mold quality is very good, mold gates are well placed and admirably thin. Chassis components are well formed and do a reasonable job of representing the running gear without undue complexity. The engine appears to be quite accurate and well-detailed, too bad most of it will be hidden by the now standard under hood shielding. The interior is simple and adequately detailed with decent engraving throughout. The wheels and tires OK, and I do question the spoke pattern, but further study will tell once I get a chance to examine the real car closer.
Accuracy
Looks good, I will have to examine the real car closer and spend a bit of time online to make a final evaluation of the kit's accuracy.
Conclusion
The latest generation of Chevy's Muscle car in kit form. Chevy fans, this is your car. Overall this is a decent kit of a current generation Muscle Car. Put it on the shelf leading a passel of others. Thanks to Revell for the review sample.
