Bronco 1/35 WWII British/Commonwealth AFV Crew
By Don Barry
Kit # CB 35098
MSRP: $19.98
This is a 6 figure set of armored vehicle crewmen, all in bulky winter uniforms, save one. All are full figures, including one driver, one man leaning back with a “cuppa”, (cup of tea) and four commander types, two seated and two standing. There is one alternate left arm intended for one of the commander figures. This reviewer thought the molding lacked crispness, and perhaps that’s true of the faces and hands, but the bulkiness of the one-piece coveralls is very convincing. All the zip fasteners and leg pockets are visible, and are easily picked out during painting. All were built per directions and primed, only one was totally finished. The casual tea drinker is wearing the unique British-issue leather vest, and his coveralls lack the double leg and body zippers seen on the others. Assembly and painting directions are on the back of the box, with paint references for Humbrol, Tamiya, and Gunze enamel and acrylic colors. This is a highly recommended set for anyone depicting British or Commonwealth AFV crewmen in north-west Europe during the last year of the war. The fit of the body parts is quite good, with faint, easy to remove mold lines and no flash. These would be a great addition to the line of British armor kits being released lately. My sincere appreciation goes out to for providing my review sample.
