AMS Resin 1/32 Detail sets
Harold Offield of AMS Resin has sent us some of his newly finished items
for review. Each of which is outstanding.
The first are some FOD covers for the new Revell F-4E and RF-4C kits.
I supplied Harold with the kit intakes from the Revell kit, and these
have been molded to fit this kit. They are a drop in fit. All that will
be necessary to do is paint these red, and you are good to go.
The next items are 200 gallon drop tanks for the 1/32 Trumpeter F-100D
kit. There are notches on the pouring blocks to help with the alignment
of the parts. Simply draw a line with a marker on the front and main portion
of the tanks above the notches, then cut off the casting stubs and glue
together. This also includes corrected outer wing pylons to mount these
tanks. Check your references to determine if these tanks will be necessary
for the aircraft you are building.
The final item sent our way is a complete cockpit set for the new 1/32
Kinetic F-86F Sabre. This set also includes a CD with loads of reference
photos as well as the instructions for installing all the items into the
fuselage of this kit. The set includes the joystick, a new instrument
panel and gunsight that are just outstanding, a new rear deck, sidepanels
for the cockpit, a headrest, a new cockpit tub, as well as a seat that
has to be seen to be believed. The seat comes with or without belts. You
need to tell Harold when ordering. The seat that we received in our sample
includes the belts and hoses, and is probably the best resin seat that
I have seen to date.
