AFTERBURNER DECALS
1/48 F-16C Desert Roadrunners
Afterburner Decals have turning out the best aftermarket decals that
we have seen for some time now, and this sheet is no exception. They are
the best researched, as well as the best printed. The carrier film around
the edges of each marking is minimal as well.
This sheet provides the markings to build any of eleven different F-16Cs
of the New Mexico ANG. All of these F-16Cs are Block 30 aircraft –
they have the large mouth intake, and the GE F110 engine. The instruction
sheet gives you the details on how to build this aircraft from the Tamiya
kits by using the Block 25/32 kit, with the intake and exhaust of the
Block 50 kit. Or you can just wait until February 2009 when Tamiya will
be producing THE ULTIMATE F-16C kit which will contain all the parts necessary
to build any single seat F-16 all the way from Block 25 thru 52. Some
of these aircraft IFF antennas in front of the cockpit, some have RAM
Panels on the fuselage sides, but all aircraft have fuselage strengthening
plates. Details as to where to purchase these are on the instruction sheet.
The unique feature of this sheet is that the artwork on some aircraft
was drawn by the same person who did the actual artwork on real planes,
SSgt Sean Hampton.
