During the almost 100 years of military aviation in Canada, many diverse
aircraft types have been used by the Canadian military. Terry Leversedge
has compiled a listing of those aircraft that have served the Canadian
Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force, Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army
and Canadian Forces since 1914. Aircraft flown by Canadian personnel while
in foreign service are also included.
The book opens with a 26-page overview of the history of military aviation
in Canada from its beginning in 1909, through the present day. The bulk
(293 pages) is devoted the actual aircraft with each having at least a
page of text giving a summary of service and specifications as well as
well as a colour or b/w photo included.
The book is recommended for anyone with an interest in Canadian aviation
as a handy onestop reference to aircraft used.
Thanks to Vanwell for the review
