Eduard 1/72nd MiG-21F-13 Zoom Photoetch and Masks
|
When
Revell released their 1/72nd MiG-21F-13 some people - myself included
- were pleasently suprised. Who would have thought Revell would come out
with a brand-new MiG-21 mold, and who would have thought it was to be
the first mass produced MiG-21, the F-13? Very pleasently surprised, because
it's an awesome kit, with possibly only one inaccuracy, that being the
nose cone (which can be replaced from a few aftermarket suppliers, the
most recent being Quickboost).
Then, most recently, Begemot released new
decals for the MiG-21 (three sheets), some of those for the Revell
F-13 kit.
Naturally it was only a matter of time before someone would release
more aftermarket. Thankfully Eduard has come to the rescue. If you're
not interested in super detailing the kit, but want just that "little
bit more" to make it look just a bit better than out-of-the-box,
then their Zoom photoetch set is perfect. Released in their "colored"
line, all you need to do is add the pieces - some after assembly - and
the model looks that much better.
In addition, the masks will help with painting. While mostly for the
clear pieces, there are masks for the wheels and other parts of the kit.
Most excellent.
Thanks to Eduard for the review
