New from Cutting edge Decals is a set of beautifully done Strategic Air Command and NACA/ NASA markings for use with a modified 1/48th scale Testors U-2C kit.

Using Cutting Edge U-2 conversions to create such variants as the U-2A, the U-2CT or the TR-1A/U-2R, these marking give you a choice of eleven different U-2 schemes that were used by either SAC or NASA (formally known as the NACA). Included are a choice of two early U-2As that were used by the NACA, no less than six U-2C(T)s including the prototype that were used by SAC as trainers, and four very attractive ER-2s research aircraft that were use by NASA.

Actually the two sheets supplied with this set give the model builder enough U-2 markings to do at least four complete aircraft, (according to my count). This includes the two U-2As used by the NACA, one of the five U-2CTs used by SAC, and one of the four TR-1/U-2Rs that were re-designated ER-2s when used by NASA.

As always Cutting Edge decals are of very high quality and excellent registration. These are very interesting markings for U-2s, and as I noted above the NASA ER-2s are especially attractive aircraft.

Conclusion:

These is very nicely done U-2 decal set for some very unique aircraft. As usual this is a limited run set that sells for $15.99.
