Royal Models 1/35 German Tankers

Introduction
Royal Models latest release is a nice set of two resin WWII German tank crew figures with umbrellas. Included are a seated full figure wearing shorts and a standing 3/4 figure in long pants. Royal Models also has a similar standing full figure with umbrella available.
The
figures are broken down in the typical fashion, with separate heads to
allow articulation and umbrella handles molded into the hand of the sitting
figure.
The casting on all of the parts is excellent, with only a slight rough texture on one panel of each umbrella that will sand away easily. The 3/4 figure is molded with headphones and comes with photo etch headphone straps, but wires will need to be added by the builder.
Conclusion
These are very nice figures, typical of what you would expect from Royal Models and the addition of the umbrellas makes them quite unique. The box art is well done and will serve as a good painting guide, but one wonders in what colors, other than black, umbrellas were available? This might be a good way to add a splash of color to your next diorama.
