Little is known about the Nieuport 15, besides the fact that it was
not a success, and only a few were built. It was the subject of a Rare
Birds feature in a recent issue of Over
the Front (I forget which), for which I did these illustrations.
The Ni15 prototype is seen here in the French two-tone camouflage of
brown and green, with gray painted metalwork.
Another variant was equipped with a frontal radiator and a rhino horn
exhaust
This Ni15 would appear to be in service with an unknown escadrille.
