Pavla 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk. Vc Wing Correction Reviewed by Chris Banyai-Riepl

The Revell Spitfire is a decent kit, but it suffers from a very noticeable flaw in that it has no representation of the prominent gull wing on the underside. This is not an easy thing to fix, and it has led modelers to search elsewhere for their Spitfire Mk. Vs. This latest set from Pavla takes care of that problem by providing a one-piece replacement wing that accurately captures that gull will look underneath. In addition to the basic wing, this set also includes separate ailerons and flaps, allowing the modeler to pose these control surfaces. Also separate are the wingtips, with both regular and clipped options provided. The final details provided in this set are open gun bays, with two styles of access panels (large bulge, small bulge).

This is a great way to both correct the Revell kit and add some nice detailing to it. The correction will involve a bit of cutting on the lower fuselage, but this is not beyond the skills of most modelers.
