There have been tons of books published about Germany and Japan in
WWII. However, few have appeared about the third Axis country: Italy.
Fewer yet have been done about Italy's armor. This new book by Squadron
is very welcome then.
The format of the book is 8.5" x 11" in soft-cover and contains 64
pages, 140 black and white photos, seven color photos (most of these on
the back cover), 22 color profiles (most of these as two-views). Also
shown are Italian cap badge illustrations, a motor vehicle badge illustration,
two line drawings and illustrations of license plates. Tank markings are
shown in color too.
Vehicles, discussed and shown in the book are:
-
L 3-35 tankettes (both regular and flame thrower versions)
-
Fiat Ansaldo CV 33 tankettes (both regular, flame thrower and a
bridge-layer version)
-
L 3
-
L 6-40 light tank (one picture of it shown with an engine heating
trailer and one as a ammo carrier)
