The Grumman Goose in Profile #2: Military Options

By Tim Bradley

This the second installment of Grumman Goose profiles. All U.S. branches of military service used the Goose. The aircraft also went to twelve foreign countries for patrol (sometimes armed with guns and bombs), reconnaissance, and air ambulance duties. Below are six examples of the Goose's limited military history. If you are interested in modeling any of these schemes, email me and let me know. I will do the most popular ones as decal sheets. The sheets will be printed in 1/72 scale for the Sword kit and in 1/48 for the Czech Model Goose kit from DRAW Decals.
